Wedding Workshop
Creative Direction + Design
As the creative director and co-founder, I developed our brand's DNA and visual identity, as well as launch an ongoing calendar of workshops. In 2018, this business was a disruptor in an industry full of traditional etiquette and norms. We were a resource to newly engaged couples planning their own wedding. A studio space located in the heart of St. Louis, we offered a gathering place to find wedding planning support and have a lot of FUN along the way.

Brand Strategy + Visual Identity
Together with my business partner and valued advisor, we identified the key benefits of our business, the gap we filled in the marketplace and how to target our ideal customer. Our branding embodied an easy-going, helpful vibe. We were your new best friend, your ‘person of honor’ that would help you through all the challenges of wedding planning.
Website Design
Our website served as an online hub for customers to find information to sign up for workshops, find local wedding pros and discover more about all the services we offered. After a less than successful first website launch with a local agency, I worked together with my business partner and trusted advisor to develop new copy and visuals to better represent our brand and design a new website with the customer in mind.
Social Media
I created a full calendar of content for our rapidly growing social channels. Tapping into the power of this marketing, we included a Vendor Spotlight for all new vendor member signups. These posts were always branded in the WW framework so they stood out from other content and served as a quick tool for our ‘to be wed’ audience. Future enhancements to our vendor program were to include story takeovers. Content was shared 2-3 times a week on Facebook and Instagram through the aid of scheduling software and posted when our audience was most active.
WWTV YouTube Channel
Our YouTube channel was created in collaboration with Metrospect Media. The goal of our channel was to provide tips and tools to help couples plan their own wedding. In our channel, we discussed popular wedding topics to showcase our shop’s expertise and vibe. I concepted ideas, outlined scripts and hosted our DIY video segments.
Workshop Development
You would often find me in our workshop testing and creating. Always learning new maker skills and adding tools to our collection. While I led some of the workshops, I often collaborated with other local makers, artisans and wedding pros to offer a robust selection of monthly workshops. All of our workshops were targeted to new engaged couples and their wedding crew for an opportunity to add some FUN in their planning.
Sixty Two Ten Event Space
Our location doubled as an event space for wedding and baby showers. This helped our business grow as we were reintroduced to more friends and family about to get engaged. Beyond the engaged couples, we also offered wedding vendor co-working space which provided opportunities for us to build new relationships with other wedding pros. We built relationships and added them to our website to help them grow, improve their SEO and our overall business traffic.
Seeing the new trends in the industry, we also developed micro wedding and elopement packages in collaboration with other local wedding pros. Our physical location was intended to be a hub for all things wedding planning and for some couples that means simplifying and making decisions easy. Our Just Married campaign catered to this and tapped into our existing resources and relationships.
How the story ended . . .
Constantly growing and partnering with other wedding pros in our first year, the second year brought on too much hardship as we weathered the Covid-19 pandemic. We officially closed our doors to the public in October 2020. Goodbyes are hard but this experience taught me so much about small business, collaboration, planning and strategy. I tap into these skills everyday with my clients and ready to help you tackle any challenge!
