Brand Audit + Conceptual Design

I worked closely with the Petsmart loyalty marketing team to execute brand audits and conceptual designs. Seeking a fresh set of eyes and ideas, this work provided support to the internal creative and marketing team. Conceptual work was often outside the bandwidth of internal operations. This fresh look provided new opportunities for growth within PetSmart’s existing loyal fan base. Working within the parameters of the brand, I found ways for them to expand their reach.

After a download with the internal marketing team and several visits to area retail locations, I reviewed and analyzed the store experience for optimal ways to engage customers to sign up for the Treats loyalty program. My conceptual work offered added messaging in key customer engagement areas. It offered additional ways to support the customer in being the best pet parent.

The loyalty team wanted to launch a series of tests to some of their best customers. With pet birthday celebrations becoming a growing part of today’s culture, this was a campaign that could connect with their existing audience and give them something extra for being a valued member of the PetSmart Treats family.

Together we developed a omni channel experience to celebrate pet birthday and gotcha days.

Event Program Concepts

Philanthropy is an important part of being a valued business in today’s world. PetSmart wanted to enhance their existing efforts by getting their most valued customers involved. Existing members would receive bonuses for contributions.

This campaign would also help gain new Treats members through support materials and welcome kits to new pet parents. These kits would be distributed through store events and sponsored animal adoption agencies.

Understanding your customer and meeting their needs leads to positive brand recognition.
